The Ino-VR Shift is the alles-in-1 solution for PC and VR-headset
The case is a all-in-one system that ensures the HTC Vive Pro can be used completely wirelessly and is highly mobile. Ideal for trade shows and events, but also for business users who want to showcase their (virtual) products on-site at the client's location.
Sturdily built
The case initially consists of a modified VR Flightcase with dimensions of 58 x 46 x 30 cm (l x w x h). The case features a standard handle, two wheels, and a retractable handle. This makes the case usable as a trolley as well. Quite handy, as the case, filled with hardware, quickly weighs around 15 to 20 kg. The hard exterior material of the case can withstand a good deal of impact.
First impressions of the case
Upon opening the case, you will see the inner compartment. This contains a custom-fitted computer and two empty compartments for the HTC Vive Pro headset and accompanying accessories, such as the link box, controllers, and base stations. The compartments are expertly and professionally cut out, so all devices fit perfectly. The computer is neatly tucked away in the left section of the case, taking up about a quarter of the entire case space. This is relatively little, especially considering the powerful graphics card and cooler inside the computer! The computer features a power button, 5 x USB 3.0 ports, 1 x Ethernet, 2 x HDMI, and 1 x DisplayPort.
The case comes with the HTC Vive Wireless Adapter. The PCIe card is already pre-installed in the computer case, so the HTC Vive Pro-headset can be used directly.
Built-in touchscreen
What immediately stands out when you first open the case is the touchscreen integrated into the lid. The screen measures 15 inches (34 cm) and initially appears small, but once you start using it, you realise how handy and easy the screen in the lid actually is. There is a protective layer over the screen that prevents scratches or damage. This layer does not affect the touchscreen's functionality, so you can comfortably touch the screen with your fingers.
Convenient to use
The Ino-VR Shift Case is the ultimate travel companion when you want to showcase Virtual Reality at a mobile location. Once you get used to the convenience of the all-in-one case, you won't want to go back to the static setup of a wired headset connected to a computer.
As previously mentioned, the Ino-VR Shift Mobile VR Case is ideal for use during trade shows or events. The convenience of wireless combined with the computer and television in one place ensures a seamless product demonstration. The same principle applies to business users who want to showcase 3D-ontwerpen, drawings, or other virtual constructions to a client on-site.
In addition to mobile VR use, the VR Case can also be particularly well utilised during training or research. The police innovation bureau, for example, uses the Ino-VR Shift Case (among other things) to take to crime scenes. Due to the case's mobility, they can use the virtual reality applications on-site that they would otherwise only be able to use in a specially designated room.
Dutch research agencies use the Ino-VR Shift Case partly for the same purposes as the police; moving from their own location to a mobile location of choice. For research in Virtual Reality, participants often still have to come to a specific location because the location is set up for the VR-apparaten (the computer is already ready, the screen is mounted on the wall, etc.). But with the Mobile VR Case, research centres can easily move to another location because everything they need is in the case!
