Professional VR installation at your location

Since installing VR-apparatuur can be quite a technical process, we are happy to assist you with it. If you choose our installatie-service, our VR-specialisten will do the following for you:

• Delivery and unpacking of the hardware;
• Installation of necessary software, such as Steam and SteamVR (note: we do not install third-party software);
• Checking all VR-hardware;
• Mounting the base stations at the correct angle(s);
• Testing and optimising the play area;
• Registering business HTC Vive-garantie (if applicable).

For small VR-installaties (< 3 set-ups), we usually send 1 VR-specialist to carry out the installation. For set-ups with more than 3 VR-brillen, or complex set-ups*, we send 2 VR-specialisten. The rate for 1 VR-specialist is €95 per hour. For 1 set-up, we generally expect to be busy for 1,5-2 hours, but this can vary greatly depending on the location and environment.

The transport costs we charge are €40 per travelled hour.

*This could be, for example, a setup in a special room or with high-end hardware, such as a backpack computer. Are you unsure about the set-up or how many VR-specialisten we should send? Please contact us.

For a smooth installation, it is important to prepare the VR-ruimte in advance. There are a few points that the space must meet to be compatible with virtual reality:

• Ensure a working internet connection (wired is recommended*);
• Ensure sufficient power points on site. Keep in mind that (among other things) the following devices need power: computer, televisie-scherm, VR-headset, and base stations;
• Consider the mounting of the base stations. We usually bring a pair of tripod stands to test the base stations, but ultimately the base stations themselves need to be mounted;
• Televisie-schermen must be mounted/placed by yourself;
• Creating Steam accounts must be done by yourself. For more information, see the Steam instruction page. It is advisable to do this before the installation, so it does not need to be done during the installation;
• Someone must be present during the installation for any questions or comments.
