Pimax Crystal Light (local dimming) with controllers
The Pimax Crystal Light is a lighter version of the popular Pimax Crystal headset. While the original Pimax Crystal was a combined PC VR and standalone VR headset, the Pimax Crystal Light focuses specifically on PC VR. This means that the battery at the back of the headset has been removed, making the headset lighter and more compact. In addition, the Pimax Crystal Light only contains a DisplayPort cable that needs to be plugged into the computer. The combination of high resolution (2880 x 2880 pixels per eye) and a wide field of view (about 125 degrees) make the Pimax Crystal Light an excellent choice for use with VR simulation games such as Microsoft Flight Simulator and Assetto Corsa
The Pimax Crystal Light comes with 2 Pimax controllers. The headset's tracking works with inside-out tracking cameras. It is possible to use the Crystal headset with external Lighthouse tracking sensors, for this you need to have the Pimax Tracking Faceplate (available separately)
Features of the Pimax Crystal Light

- Aspherical glass lenses with a large sweet spot;

- Variable refresh rate (60Hz, 72Hz, 90Hz, 120Hz) for smooth gameplay;
- Manually adjustable IPD (58-72mm);
- Foveated rendering: Fixed 2.0;
- Easy installation with inside-out tracking or expansion with Lighthouse tracking;
- Audio: interchangeable 3.5mm jack, 2x microphone.
What are the differences between the Pimax Crystal and Pimax Crystal Light?
The Pimax Crystal Light does not include a Snapdragon XR2 processor and battery. The Light variant can only be used in combination with a PC, while the original Pimax Crystal can also be used in a standalone mode. In addition, the Pimax Crystal Light does not contain a built-in eye-tracking module (and therefore also does not have automatic IPD adjustment). The lenses of the Pimax Crystal Light are also not interchangeable. The Pimax Crystal Light does contain the necessary on-board hardware to enable a wireless connection with a 60Hz module*.
