The ECO63 robotic arm is a compact and cost-effective 6-axis robotic solution within the RealMan portfolio, designed for light and precise automation tasks. In comparison with the ECO65 series, the ECO63 is somewhat more compact and lighter, making it particularly suitable for applications where space is limited and flexibility is key. Like the ECO65, the ECO63 features an integrated controller, making installation simple without an external switch box.
With a working range of approximately 630 mm and a payload capacity up to 3 kg, the ECO63 clearly positions itself below the ECO65, which combines a working range of approximately 650 mm with a higher payload of up to 5 kg. The repeatability is at a comparable level of ±0.05 mm for both series, making them suitable for precision applications such as assembly, inspection, and pick-and-place. With its lower payload, the ECO63 is particularly suitable for lighter components and precision mechanics, while the ECO65 is better suited for heavier applications.
The ECO63 series follows the same modular design as the ECO65 series and is available in several variants. This allows you to choose between a standard version and variants with additional functionalities such as a 6-axis force sensor (force feedback). This makes the ECO63 widely applicable, from simple automation to applications requiring precise interaction with objects. The ECO65 series also offers more expansion possibilities, making it better suited for more complex and scalable automation solutions.
In terms of connectivity and integration, the possibilities are comparable with the ECO65 series. The robotic arm supports communication via Ethernet, USB, and I/O and can be controlled via APIs and SDKs. This makes integration into existing systems or production lines easy to implement. Thanks to its lower weight and compact design, the ECO63 is also easier to mount on smaller workstations or mobile setups.
| Model | Working radius | Payload | Force sensor | Application |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| ECO63-B | ±630 mm | 3 kg | No | Light automation and pick-and-place |
| ECO63-6F | ±630 mm | 3 kg | Yes (6D) | Contact-sensitive precision tasks |
| ECO65-B | ±650 mm | 5 kg | No | Heavier automation and handling |
| ECO65-6F | ±650 mm | 5 kg | Yes (6D) | Contact-sensitive applications with higher payload |
The main differences between the ECO63 and ECO65 series lie in the working radius and payload. The ECO63 offers a range of approximately 630 mm with a maximum load of 3 kg, while the ECO65 combines a larger range of approximately 650 mm with a significantly higher payload of 5 kg. This makes the ECO63 ideal for compact workstations and light applications, while the ECO65 is better suited for situations where more power, range, and expandability are required.
