My experience with the Vive Focus 3
All in all, the Vive Focus 3 is a significant step forward for VR. But is it worth the price tag of 1399 Euros? Let's just say that this headset is not intended to replace your Oculus Quest 2. If your primary goal is socialising and gaming, this is not the headset for you. The Vive Focus 3 is a workhorse, specifically designed for business use. It is comfortable, fast, and has the potential to be an excellent tool for professional applications.
However, that doesn't mean HTC's brand-new standalone VR headset couldn't also be your everyday work/gaming system. During an interview with VRScout, Dan O'Brien, HTC's Global Head of Enterprise, spoke about the company's new Vive VR-headsets line, stating that it was about "advancing technology to benefit humanity through imagination, VR/AR, 5G, AI, and blockchain."
The lightweight design, swappable battery, and the 5K-resolutie with 120-graden FOV make the Vive Focus 3 an excellent VR-oplossing for business customers, and if you need a bit of extra power, you can always tether the headset to a VR-ready PC using HTC's Vive Streaming Cable.
