Varjo XR-4 Focal Edition 2026
Note: The Varjo XR-4 Focal Edition 2026 comes supplied without controllers. For use with Lighthouse-tracking, HTC Vive base stations (2.0) are required, which are available separately.
The Varjo XR-4 Focal Edition 2026 is designed for organisations that want to work with eye-tracking data and advanced analysis tools. This edition combines the exceptional image quality of the XR-4 Series with the powerful Base Pro functionality, enabling users to accurately measure where someone is looking, for how long, and with what focus dynamics. This makes the headset ideally suited for research environments, user studies, human factors analysis and training simulations.
The Focal Edition features high-quality mini-LED displays with 4K resolution per eye and full-dome aspherical lenses with a field of view of 120° x 105°. The local dimming technology ensures deep contrasts and lifelike colours, while the integrated high-frequency eye tracking ensures extremely precise gaze detection. In combination with Base Pro, gaze data, pupil size and fixation patterns can be captured and exported in real time for analysis or integration into external applications.
The XR-4 Focal Edition supports both inside-out tracking and Lighthouse (SteamVRâ„¢) tracking, making the headset suitable for both mobile and fixed research setups. Thanks to the improved ergonomics, automatic IPD adjustment and silent ventilation, prolonged use is comfortable, even during intensive research or training sessions.
With its precise gaze registration, Base Pro integration and professional tracking options, the Varjo XR-4 Focal Edition 2026 is a powerful solution for anyone wanting to use mixed reality for human-centred research, simulation and performance analysis.
